CYCLE RALLY BY NCC CADETS ON WORLD BICYCLE DAY.

LUCKNOW,  03 JUNE 2022 :On the instructions of Group Commander Brigadier Ravi Kapoor, NCC Group Headquarters Lucknow, citizens were made aware of health and environment by cycling by NCC cadets from different areas of Lucknow on 3 June, World Bicycle Day. Professor Dr. Sanjay Singh, Vice-Chancellor and Captain Rajshree Bhimrao Ambedkar traveled 8 kms with 50 NCC cadets in Ambedkar University and spread the message of good health by cycling.

Colonel Vinod Joshi, Commanding Officer, 20 UP Girls NCC Battalion informed that cadets of 67 NCC Battalion and 20 UP Girls Battalion took out the cycle rally from Ambedkar University and AP Sen Degree College at 8:00 am. Colonel Joshi said that the bicycle represents both environment protection and physical exercise. 

He added that if we commute to our institutions and work by bicycles rather than two wheelers or four wheelers, we will it will benefit both our health and the environment. 

Col Joshi further said that in several countries, bicycles are being used more than vehicles and it has also been an effort of the NCC cadets of Lucknow to attract citizens to bicycle use.

Along with the cadets, Captain Rajshree, Captain Monika, Srivastava Subedar Major Dev Pal Singh, other NCC and army personnel also encouraged the citizens to be socially responsible and undertake cycling.
