All India Patient Services Association gave some suggestions to the government regarding the epidemic

Anis Ansari presided over the meeting of the executive committee of All India Patients Welfare Trust ( AIPWT) online through Zoom on 21 April 21 at his residence at Lucknow 

Sri Shaaz Ahmad founder - Treasurer , Sri Ayaz Khan Achchhoo Sectetary, vice President organization  Sri Vinay Pandey , Ms Naheed Verma , organization secratary Sri Ajeet Singh , vice President Sri Mohd Nasir etc joined 

Following decisions were taken :

1- A letter will be sent to Govt of UP through Chief Secretary to take up the following matters on priority:

A- GoUP should ensure adequate availability of medicines , oxygen cylinders , Govt & private hospitals with beds & ventilators at prescribed rates . Black marketing should be curbed by strict vigilance, police enforcement & augmenting of essential supplies 

B- Govt should set up temporary hospitals by requisitioning of private & public buildings & infrastructure like Railway wagons , serving & retired medical & para medical personnel with due payment of honoraria . 

C- Govt should persuade private entities & companies to utilise Corporate Social Responsibility ( CSR) funds for funding temporary hospitals etc 

D- Govt should open public stores including corporations & cooperative societies network for distribution of medicines & oxygen cylinders etc 

E- In view of shortage of trained para medical staff , Govt should utilise trained members of bodies like NCC, NSS , Nehru Yuwa Kendras etc 

F- Govt should streamline functioning of central command & help centre to ease out the miseries of Covid patients & their carers. 

G- Govt should provide additional electric cremation machines & spaces for burials of the deceased 

H- Govt should revive defunct oxygen cylinder plants & add new capacities by providing reasonably priced electric power , institutional finances , sheds & enforcement of MRPs 

2- AIPWT will implement the following steps : 

a- An AIPWT App will be created to link up patients with AIPWT & service providers in the public & private sphere like hospitals , medical stores , oxygen cylinder suppliers etc . It will function like a Covid Help Desk of AIPWT

b- Verification of fake information will be undertaken to make stake holders aware of reality 

c-Awareness about Covid , precautions , counselling of patients & survivors ‘ stories will be organised .

d- Problems faced by medical & para medical staff will be communicated to appropriate authorities & entreprenures for reducing their difficulties 

e-Distribution of food to poor patients & carers , counselling by social media ,cremation & burial facilities etc will be taken up 

f- Social activists from other NGOs will be cooped to help out patients & carers
