Major General Gaurav Gautam, VSM inspects the ten-day Combined Annual Training Camp of 19 Uttar Pradesh Girls Battalion NCC

On the seventh day of the ten-day combined annual training camp organized by 19 Uttar Pradesh Girls Battalion NCC under Lucknow Directorate of the National Cadet Corps, and led by Commanding Officer Colonel (Dr.) Dinesh Kumar Pathak, Major General Gaurav Gautam, VSM, Additional Director General of NCC, Uttar Pradesh Directorate, and Brigadier Puneet Srivastava, VSM, Group Commander of Lucknow NCC Group Headquarters, inspected the camp today,
10 June 2026. The girl cadets gave an excellent guard of honour during the inspection. Afterwards, the Additional Director General and the Group Commander watched demonstrations of self-defence techniques taught to the cadets during the three-day self-defence workshop conducted at the camp by Red Brigade’s Ms. Usha Vishwakarma and her team. Mrs. Renuka Tandon of Amren Foundation was also present on the occasion.
In his address, Major General Gaurav Gautam, VSM encouraged the cadets, saying that daughters should always keep their morale high and remain conscious of their health. When they are fully physically healthy, they will be physically and mentally strong enough to face any adverse situation. He also urged the cadets to remain technically skilled so they can contribute to realizing the vision of a developed India, so that they never consider themselves weak at any level and move fearlessly toward their goals.During the inspection he also conducted a thorough check of the camp kitchens, dining areas, and food supplies.
He additionally reviewed the readiness of the Lucknow headquarters team for the state-level Army Thal Sainik Camp to be held in the state.
