13TH AMC REUNION AND 56TH BIENNIAL CONFERENCE OF ARMY MEDICAL CORPS

LUCKNOW, 21 MARCH 2023 :  The 13th Reunion & 56th Biennial Conference of the Army Medical Corps is being held at the Army Medical Corps Centre and College, Lucknow from 22 to 23 March 2023. A large number of senior serving officers of the Armed Forces Medical Services as well as veterans of the Corps will be attending the mega event. 
                      
This conference provides an excellent platform for the present leaders and flag bearers of the Corps to share their ideas and exchange views among themselves as well as showcase the Corps in its present avatar to its pioneers and leading luminaries from yesteryears thus imbibing esprit de corps and seeking their valuable blessings before ushering in a new and exciting era.

The event is being attended by Lt Gen Daljit Singh, AVSM, VSM, PHS, DGAFMS and Senior Colonel Commandant, the Head of the Armed Forces Medical Services, Lt Gen Vivek Kashyap, AVSM, VSM, Chief of Staff (COS) Central Command along with the Colonel Commandants and Director Generals Medical Services of Army, Navy and Air Force, Commandants of Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, Army Hospital (Research and Referral), New Delhi, besides Lt Gen V Sabid Syed, Commandant AMC Centre and College and OIC Records and Colonel Commandant and several senior serving and retired officers.

The Reunion takes place once in four years, whereas the Biennial is a conference organised every two years. Every Reunion is held in conjunction with a Biennial. It is a time for introspection and deliberation on issues which impact the functioning of the Corps ranging from incorporation of advancing technology, revolutionary military medical practices and automation, to image management, communication skills of healthcare workers, legal aspects of healthcare, cadre management, training, welfare, manpower rationalization and career planning, all with the ultimate aim of clientele satisfaction & fructification of the motto of the Corps - 'Sarve Santu Niramaya'.

In the midst of the brainstorming sessions and discussions on Corps issues during the 56th Biennial Conf, the 13th Reunion will be marked with gaiety and an array of events aimed at felicitating the revered veterans and honouring the gallant martyrs of the Armed Forces Medical Services. A grandiose Guard of Honour will suitably pay respects to the Senior Colonel Commandant and Col Commandant, the torch bearers of the Corps. The Reunion will also include deliberations by the veterans as well as orations on pertinent issues, besides a traditional 'Barakhana' wherein the Head of the 'Armed Forces Medical Services' family will dine with all ranks as well as the serving and retired Rank and Families, all under one roof. The two-day long events will aptly culminate in an Entertainment programme and Reunion Banquet.
