OFFICERS’ TRAINING ACADEMY, GAYA GEARS UP FOR PASSING OUT PARADE




LUCKNOW, 06 DEC  2018
The youngest Pre-Commission Training Academy of our country, Officers’ Training Academy, Gaya is holding the 14th Passing out Parade of its 14th batch of Gentlemen Cadets on 08 Dec 2018. During this Passing Out Parade, Gentlemen Cadets of Special Commission Officers (SCO) - 41 Course will be commissioned as officers of Indian Army, along with Gentlemen Cadets from Technical Entry Scheme (TES) - 32 Course who had completed their Basic Military Training from this Academy in Dec 2015.

Lt General Batoo Tshering, Druk Yugyel, Drakpoi Wangyel, Drakpoi Thugsey, Drakpoi Khorlo and Drakpoi Rinchen Tsugtor, Chief Operations Officer, Royal Bhutan Army will be the Reviewing Officer and Chief Guest on this solemn occasion.  Lt Gen PC Thimmaya,  GOC-in-C, Army Training Command will be the Chief Host during the event. The Academy has planned and put in place various activities needed to showcase the event, befitting a world class Military Training Academy under the able leadership and command of Lieutenant General Sunil Srivastava,  Commandant, Officers’ Training Academy Gaya.

This mega event will  include activities like Awards Presentations, Memorial Service, Multi Activity Display and Pipping Ceremony. Multi Activity Display will have events like Gymnastics, PT Display, Micro-light Flying, Equestrian Display, Mallakhamb, Sky Diving, Motor Cycle Display and Band Display in which Cadets of OTA will participate along with soldiers of the Indian Army.

Officers’ Training Academy Gaya, the third Pre-Commissioning Military Academy for Army in the country was raised on 18 Jul 2011 and was formally inaugurated on 14 Nov 2011 by former Chief of Army Staff, General VK Singh (Retired).
